Graphene is a hexagonal honeycomb lattice two-dimensional nanomaterial composed of carbon atoms, with high carrier mobility, a high specific surface area, high thermal conductivity, and good toughness, so its use is very wide, in the semiconductor industry, the photovoltaic industry, lithium-ion batteries, aerospace, the military, a new generation of displays, and other traditional and emerging fields that will bring revolutionary technological progress. At present, the hot topics of graphene application research mainly include graphene high-performance heat dissipation materials, graphene heavy anti-corrosion coatings, graphene conductive pastes, and graphene reinforced composite materials, etc., covering the development needs of future electronic information, the new energy industry, and large infrastructure fields.
The graphene preparation and application team of the Huazhou Branch of the Shaanxi Coal Chemical Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd (SXCCTI) takes high-efficiency, environmental protection, low cost, and controllable graphene large-scale preparation technology as the research and development goal, and after the research and development of small-scale, pilot, and industrial tests, its technical level and product indicators have reached the advanced level at home and abroad, and it can achieve high-quality graphene oxide products with an oxygen content of 30%~50% (adjustable), sheet diameter size 5μm~50μm (adjustable), solid content of 30%~50% (adjustable). At the same time, the project, combined with the application prospects of graphene products in the fields of anti-corrosion, heat dissipation, and antibacterial, led to the development of a variety of special graphene products. Because the downstream application customers' feedback has been good, some of these special products have begun to enter the mass sales stage.
Relying on this research and development achievement, SXCCTI has completed the industrialization demonstration project of graphene oxide with an annual output of 300 tons in the Weinan Huazhou base, realized the large-scale preparation of graphene oxide products, further improved the market competitiveness of graphene products, provided a strong power platform for the development of the graphene industry, and played a very positive role in the integrated development of the whole industrial chain in the field of graphene. In the future, with the further optimization of the large-scale preparation process of graphene, the project will strengthen communication with downstream applications, layout and develop special graphene products and high-end reduced graphene products, and help the vigorous development of the graphene industry.
